We are urgently seeking experienced Automotive IVI & Connected Vehicle Systems Specialists to support a major next-generation electric vehicle development program.
The selected experts will work off-site / remotely from their respective countries and collaborate closely with customer engineering teams on advanced infotainment, connectivity, software architecture, diagnostics, HMI, QNX, system communication, and resource optimization topics.
This requirement is particularly suited to engineers with strong experience in automotive embedded systems, infotainment platforms, connected vehicle technologies, Android Automotive, QNX, hypervisor architectures, diagnostics, OTA, HMI, and system-level integration.
Key Technical Areas
We are seeking specialists across one or more of the following areas:
1. Augmented Virtuality Navigation
- Design, development, and integration of advanced navigation solutions using augmented reality and virtualized visualization technologies.
- Integration of navigation data with vehicle sensors, cameras, displays, and digital cockpit platforms.
- Support system architecture, performance optimization, integration, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with HMI, graphics, navigation, and embedded software teams.
2. Audio, Voice Assistant & ECNR / Noise Cancellation
- Develop and integrate automotive audio and voice assistant systems.
- Support Echo Cancellation and Noise Reduction (ECNR) technologies.
- Optimize in-cabin voice capture, microphone processing, speech recognition, and acoustic performance.
- Integrate voice assistant functionalities with infotainment and connected vehicle platforms.
- Troubleshoot audio signal processing and system-level integration issues.
3. Variant Coding
- Design and implement automotive variant coding and configuration management solutions.
- Manage vehicle feature activation and software configuration across multiple vehicle variants.
- Support integration with ECUs, diagnostics, manufacturing, and vehicle configuration systems.
- Analyze and resolve variant coding and configuration-related issues.
4. OTA / SOVD Logging, Diagnostics & Debugging
- Support Over-the-Air (OTA) software update architectures and diagnostic workflows.
- Work with SOVD – Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics concepts and implementation.
- Develop and analyze logging, tracing, monitoring, and debugging mechanisms.
- Investigate software deployment, communication, and system integration issues.
- Support root cause analysis across distributed automotive software platforms.
5. Functional Safety & Safety-Related Technical Discussions
- Participate in system and software safety-related engineering discussions.
- Support safety analysis, requirements definition, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments.
- Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and functional safety teams.
- Contribute to safety-related design decisions and engineering documentation.
- Experience with ISO 26262 and automotive safety lifecycle activities is highly desirable.
6. 3D / HMI Deployment & Resource Management
- Support deployment and integration of advanced 3D graphics and HMI applications.
- Optimize graphics performance, memory utilization, CPU/GPU resources, and runtime behavior.
- Work with automotive cockpit, infotainment, and display platforms.
- Support deployment of HMI assets, applications, and graphical resources across embedded platforms.
- Troubleshoot system-level performance and integration constraints.
7. QNX / Hypervisor System-Level Design
- Design and support system-level architectures based on QNX and hypervisor technologies.
- Define partitioning strategies for multi-OS automotive computing platforms.
- Support integration between QNX, Android Automotive, Linux, and other embedded environments.
- Work on boot architecture, virtualization, security boundaries, performance, and inter-domain communication.
- Troubleshoot complex system-level integration issues.
8. Resource Allocation & Optimization
- Analyze and optimize CPU, GPU, memory, storage, bandwidth, and system resources.
- Support embedded platform performance analysis and resource budgeting.
- Identify system bottlenecks and propose architecture or software optimization solutions.
- Work across application, middleware, operating system, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Support performance monitoring, profiling, and system-level debugging.
Communication Architecture Expertise
Relevant candidates may also contribute to advanced communication architecture topics, including:
IPC Design
- Define and implement Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms for distributed and multi-domain automotive platforms.
- Support middleware architecture, service communication, messaging, synchronization, and data exchange.
- Optimize communication performance, latency, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience with technologies such as SOME/IP, DDS, shared memory, sockets, D-Bus, gRPC, or equivalent IPC frameworks is advantageous.
CP / AP Communication Design
- Design communication mechanisms between Classic Platform (CP) and Adaptive Platform (AP) environments.
- Support communication architecture between different ECUs, domains, and computing platforms.
- Define interfaces, service communication models, protocols, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic and AUTOSAR Adaptive is highly desirable.
Profilo
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong professional experience in automotive embedded software, infotainment, connected vehicle systems, digital cockpit, or vehicle software architecture.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the technical areas listed above.
- Strong understanding of embedded operating systems and automotive computing platforms.
- Experience with system integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work effectively within distributed and international engineering teams.
- Strong English communication skills.
