SEGULA Technologies is supporting a major utility-scale energy infrastructure project in Uzbekistan and is seeking experienced professionals to join a multidisciplinary project team.

The project environment involves complex energy infrastructure, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical substations, high-voltage systems, civil works, mechanical systems, automation and SCADA interfaces, construction supervision, quality management, HSE, logistics, and project controls.

We are looking for experienced professionals capable of working within a multicultural EPC project environment and coordinating effectively with contractors, engineering teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Mechanical & Equipment Supervisor (BESS & Energy Infrastructure)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Equipment Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation, inspection, quality control, completion, and commissioning support activities for a major energy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect mechanical installation activities.
• Verify installation, alignment, levelling, anchoring, and condition of mechanical equipment.
• Oversee HVAC units, battery containers, cooling systems, fire protection systems, structural supports, ducts, filters, piping, and associated assemblies.
• Monitor equipment receipt, storage, preservation, labelling, and protection.
• Review welding activities, welder qualifications, WPS, and WPQR documentation.
• Witness NDT, torquing, bolt tensioning, and mechanical quality inspections.
• Verify coatings, painting, corrosion protection, insulation, and fire-rated systems.
• Review material certificates, datasheets, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
• Identify and follow NCRs and corrective actions.
• Support functional testing, mechanical completion, punch-list management, and commissioning.
• Review as-built records, operation manuals, maintenance records, and final O&M documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical construction, inspection, quality control, or site supervision in industrial or energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in substations, BESS, renewable energy, power generation, oil & gas, mining, or other major industrial facilities.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical equipment installation.
• Good knowledge of ISO, ASME, and relevant international standards.
• Professional proficiency in English.
