SEGULA Technologies is supporting a major utility-scale energy infrastructure project in Uzbekistan and is seeking experienced professionals to join a multidisciplinary project team.

The project environment involves complex energy infrastructure, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical substations, high-voltage systems, civil works, mechanical systems, automation and SCADA interfaces, construction supervision, quality management, HSE, logistics, and project controls.

We are looking for experienced professionals capable of working within a multicultural EPC project environment and coordinating effectively with contractors, engineering teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

HSE Supervisor (BESS & Energy Infrastructure)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to support the safe execution of a major energy infrastructure project involving BESS and high-voltage electrical systems.

The successful candidate will monitor contractor HSE performance, conduct inspections and audits, review risk controls, investigate incidents, and promote a strong project safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key HSE representative within the project site team.
• Review and monitor HSE Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Monitor compliance with applicable legislation and international standards.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, walkdowns, and behavioural safety assessments.
• Oversee critical activities including PTW, LOTO, lifting operations, confined-space entry, fire prevention, and high-voltage work.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance, inductions, toolbox talks, safety training, and workforce competency.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure root-cause analysis and corrective-action closure.
• Issue and track Safety Observation Reports and NCRs.
• Review safety aspects of BESS facilities, lithium-ion battery systems, fire protection systems, HV substations, and emergency response arrangements.
• Prepare HSE reports, KPI dashboards, trend analyses, and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in industrial construction, power generation, transmission, substations, renewable energy, or energy storage projects.
• Demonstrated experience on utility-scale BESS, high-voltage substations, or similar major infrastructure developments.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, CRSP, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, risk management methodologies, and contractor safety management.
• Professional proficiency in English.
