Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis to join the Finance Department of a leading organization operating in the industrial and environmental services sector.
The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
The position requires excellent analytical skills, strong accounting knowledge, and experience working with ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Verify, allocate, record, and reconcile financial transactions.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Assist with monthly and annual financial closing activities.
Ensure financial data and reporting comply with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial information and summarize financial performance.
Review and process petty cash transactions and expense claims.
Maintain lease accounting records in accordance with IFRS 16.
Update IFRS 16 lease accounting tools and ensure accurate corresponding entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC365).
Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasts.
Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with location-based and activity-based financial analysis and cost allocation.
Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls, and applicable financial and tax regulations.
Support external audit activities and assist with the implementation of audit recommendations.
Contribute to improving accounting procedures and financial control processes.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the accuracy of financial records and transactions.
Profil
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
Experience in an industrial or project-based environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and IFRS.
Practical knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting.
Experience in month-end closing, financial reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace skills.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical capabilities.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
Professional accounting certification and UAE driving licence are advantageous.
