About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Application Engineer with a strong focus on AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Python to join a team driving the adoption of AI across software engineering systems.

The team has established an AI platform that can be configured for different applications, with a primary focus on improving software development efficiency. In this role, you will develop software pipelines and solutions that assist or automate engineering tasks by combining conventional software engineering and automation with modern AI and LLM technologies.

You will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can create value, implement solutions, and demonstrate tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software pipelines that support or automate engineering activities.

• Design and implement AI/LLM-based solutions using Python and conventional software engineering techniques.

• Integrate Large Language Models into engineering workflows and applications.

• Contribute to the development and evolution of the AI platform and its applications.

• Collaborate with software development teams to configure, adapt, and apply the machine learning platform to their specific needs.

• Explore new AI technologies and assess their applicability to software engineering challenges.

• Work in an agile environment with a strong focus on delivering and demonstrating implemented solutions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Contribute to software architecture, design, development, testing, and continuous improvement.

• Take initiative in identifying opportunities for automation and increased engineering efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong software engineering and software design skills.

• Excellent programming skills, particularly in Python.

• Professional experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or generative AI.

• Experience developing software applications, automation, or engineering tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across development teams.

• A proactive and curious mindset with the ability to explore new technologies and turn ideas into practical solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with containerization technologies.

• Experience or familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud-based software development.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

• Experience with automotive software development.

• Understanding of automotive systems engineering.

• Experience applying AI or machine learning to software engineering processes.
