Mission

About the Role Our consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Function & ECU Developer to support a high-profile automotive client based in Gothenburg. In this position, you will drive both body function development and ECU ownership for Body Control modules, supporting end-to-end development from concept through to verification and validation. You will serve as a primary technical interface, ensuring supplier alignment, managing requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional, international engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, define, and maintain body control concepts, functional specifications, and system requirements.

  • Act as the technical owner for Body Control ECUs, managing supplier delivery, requirement alignment, software releases, and issue tracking.

  • Review, investigate, and follow up on software and system defects using standard tracking tools.

  • Drive technical dialogues with external suppliers to guarantee compliance with established specifications and quality standards.

  • Coordinate and support integration, testing, verification, and validation activities for body functions and control units.

  • Collaborate closely with international stakeholders across global engineering teams, cross-brand organizations, and technology partners.

  • Contribute to function adaptation and continuous improvement initiatives tailored for European market deployment.

Profil

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within automotive electrical systems, electrical architecture, or software engineering.

  • Proven experience in Body Controller development and functional specifications.

  • Solid understanding of ECU hardware/software development lifecycles, automotive standards, and best practices.

  • Experience navigating cross-cultural engineering environments (specifically Asian-European business contexts).

  • Previous development experience within global automotive platforms or joint-venture organizations is highly advantageous.

  • Strong pragmatic problem-solving abilities, structured communication skills, and a self-driven, collaborative mindset.
