Mission

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HIL test cases based on system and software requirements.
  • Design and maintain automated test scripts for ECU validation.
  • Configure and operate HIL test benches and real-time simulation environments.
  • Perform testing using CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Develop automation using Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools.
  • Perform UDS diagnostics, DTC testing, ECU flashing, and diagnostic validation.
  • Implement fault-injection scenarios and validate ECU responses.
  • Analyze CAN/network traces, ECU signals, logs, and test results.
  • Develop automated pass/fail criteria and test-reporting mechanisms.
  • Execute smoke, functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Debug failures and collaborate with software, system, and ECU development teams.
  • Maintain test scripts, configurations, test documentation, and traceability.
  • Support HIL bench commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of HIL testing and real-time simulation.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive ECU testing.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, and network analysis.
  • Experience with Python and/or CAPL automation.
  • Knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) and automotive diagnostics.
  • Experience with tools such as:
  • Vector CANoe/CANalyzer
  • dSPACE ControlDesk/AutomationDesk
  • NI VeriStand/TestStand
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • ECU-TEST
  • Understanding of software testing concepts: test design, regression testing, defect tracking, and test reporting.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD is an advantage.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Instrumentation, or Computer Engineering.
  • Typically 2–6 years of experience in HIL, ECU, embedded, or automotive testing.
  • Experience with automated testing and scripting is highly preferred.
