Mission
Key Responsibilities
Design and development of BIW Under Body / Upper Body components and assemblies using UGNX / Siemens NX.
Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings as per design requirements.
Work on BIW components such as floor, cross members, side members, pillars, roof, package tray, wheel house and related structures.
Understand automotive BIW design concepts, manufacturing requirements and design feasibility.
Perform design modifications based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
Check clearances, interfaces, packaging and assembly feasibility.
Support design reviews, problem solving and engineering change activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, quality and vehicle integration.
Follow GD&T, drawing standards and engineering specifications.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of BIW design – Under Body / Upper Body.
Hands-on experience with UGNX / Siemens NX / NX CAD.
Good knowledge of 3D modelling and assembly design.
Basic knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
Understanding of sheet metal design and automotive BIW components.
Knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Teamcenter / PLM.
Knowledge of BIW tooling and manufacturing feasibility.
Exposure to CATIA is an added advantage.
Experience working with OEM / automotive projects is preferred.
