Company Description

We are supporting a major construction and infrastructure project in the UAE and are seeking an experienced HR Construction Site Coordinator to provide day-to-day HR support to the project workforce and site management.

Job Description

The HR Construction Site Coordinator will act as the HR representative at project site level, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures while supporting employees and project management.

The position covers workforce administration, recruitment coordination, onboarding, attendance, payroll inputs, employee relations, accommodation, welfare and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate manpower requirements with project management.
  • Arrange onboarding and site inductions for new employees.
  • Ensure all required employment documents are complete before deployment.
  • Coordinate medical examinations, visa processing and work permit requirements where applicable.

Employee Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
  • Process employee documentation, including contracts, transfers, promotions and terminations.
  • Monitor probation periods and notify management of upcoming confirmations.
  • Support employees with HR-related inquiries.

Attendance & Payroll Support

  • Monitor daily attendance and timesheets.
  • Verify overtime records and leave requests.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with HR and Finance departments.
  • Ensure attendance records are accurate and submitted on time.

Employee Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees at the project site.
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and workplace communication.

Accommodation & Welfare

  • Coordinate employee accommodation and transportation where applicable.
  • Monitor camp or accommodation conditions and report issues.
  • Ensure employees have access to required welfare facilities.
  • Assist with employee welfare initiatives.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and UAE Labour Law.
  • Monitor the validity of employee documents, including visas, Emirates IDs and labour cards.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Reporting

Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports covering:

  • Headcount
  • Attendance
  • Leave status
  • Employee turnover
  • Recruitment status
  • Visa and document expiry status

Profil

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • HR certification is an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Experience supporting site-based operations is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of UAE Labour Law and HR practices.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/ERP systems.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily based at construction project sites.
  • Frequent interaction with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and site employees.
  • May be required to travel between project sites as needed.
