Mission

 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and execute complex durability simulations and structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Develop, validate, and deliver high-quality calculation models and simulation results that support product design and engineering decisions.
  • Perform fatigue evaluations and durability assessments for engine and powertrain-related components.
  • Analyze simulation results, draw engineering conclusions, and provide recommendations to achieve design, durability, and performance targets.
  • Take ownership of the accuracy, quality, and fidelity of simulation models and analysis results.
  • Support product and design engineers throughout all stages of product development by providing technical expertise and simulation-based recommendations.
  • Utilize ANSYS Classic with APDL scripting to develop and automate finite element models.
  • Create and optimize simulation meshes using ANSA.
  • Contribute to efficiency improvements through Python scripting and automation of simulation workflows.
  • Work effectively within Linux-based engineering environments.
  • Support continuous improvement of simulation methods, engineering processes, and analysis tools.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of new simulation methodologies and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, universities, research institutes, and external partners to drive innovation.
  • Initiate and lead global technical networks within the simulation and analysis community.
  • Provide technical input to Product and System Roadmaps.
  • Evaluate project scope, estimate simulation activities, and ensure timely delivery of engineering results.
  • Train, coach, and mentor less experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineers while promoting knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Serve as a technical authority within the discipline and represent the organization in cross-functional engineering discussions.


Profil

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Simulation, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in simulation and analysis engineering.
  • Extensive experience in durability simulations and fatigue analysis of mechanical or engine-related components.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Advanced experience using ANSYS Classic.
  • Proficiency in APDL (ANSYS Parametric Design Language) scripting.
  • Experience using ANSA for geometry preparation and mesh generation.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems used in engineering environments.
  • Experience with Python scripting for workflow automation and simulation efficiency improvements.
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics, fatigue, durability, and material behavior.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and global engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with engine or powertrain component durability analysis.
  • Experience developing simulation methods, engineering tools, or automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of simulation process optimization and digital engineering workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with research organizations or universities.
  • Familiarity with product development processes within the automotive or heavy-duty vehicle industry.
