Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering development and release of Electric Drive System components.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Suppliers.
- Lead Product Development Team (PDT) meetings and drive issue resolution.
- Manage engineering changes through the Change Notice (CN) process.
- Track and resolve engineering issues using the Global Issue Management (GIM) process.
- Support product validation activities and ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to review technical issues, APQP deliverables, and program timing.
- Review drawings and engineering documentation, including GD&T requirements.
- Support manufacturing and assembly-related activities during product launches.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and status reports to project stakeholders.
Profil
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, manufacturing processes, vehicle assembly, and component validation.
- Experience leading Product Development Team (PDT) meetings.
- Experience working directly with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Knowledge of the Global Issue Management (GIM) process.
- Knowledge of the Change Notice (CN) process.
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Basic knowledge of Electric Machines and Electric Drive Systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Experience working in a global engineering environment with international teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Previous experience as a Design & Release Engineer (DRE) with a OEM.
- Experience supporting electrification or propulsion-related programs.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Experience launching new vehicle programs.
- Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
