Mission
Are you ready to spearhead the future of automotive electrical architecture? As the Development Lead (DL), you will take ownership of the development of Power and Signal distribution systems for upcoming NAFTA vehicle applications.
In this pivotal role, you will champion design best practices for wiring systems, orchestrate internal engineering talents, and collaborate closely with tier-1 supplier resources to design, develop, and implement world-class vehicle wiring harnesses. You will serve as the subject matter expert, ensuring high-quality, consistent electrical designs across multiple vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and development of all vehicle wiring harnesses and power/signal distribution systems.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage and align internal engineering teams and external supplier resources to deliver on-time, high-quality milestones.
Standards & Best Practices: Establish, maintain, and implement engineering best practices for automotive electrical systems to guarantee consistency across diverse vehicle platforms.
System Integration: Oversee the complex vehicle packaging and routing of electrical systems to optimize space, efficiency, and reliability.
Data & Lifecycle Management: Drive technical accuracy within system engineering tools including EBOM, Teamcenter, and NX.
Profil
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline (e.g., Materials, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, Computer) from an ABET-accredited university.
Experience: * Minimum of 8 years in automotive electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience working with electrical systems.
Technical Skills: * Deep automotive system-level engineering experience.
Strong conceptual understanding of vehicle packaging.
Proficiency with EBOM, Teamcenter, and NX.
Leadership & Professional Skills:
Proven team leadership capabilities and the ability to manage complex business/engineering situations.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) Green Belt certification.
