Metrology Technician

Mission

Perform dimensional inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and tooling using Tri-Dimensional Metrology (TDM) equipment.

Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), laser trackers, portable arms, scanners, and other precision measurement systems as required.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and inspection plans.

Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and conformity of manufactured components.

Generate and maintain inspection reports, measurement records, and quality documentation.

Investigate dimensional discrepancies and support root cause analysis activities.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.

Support first article inspections (FAI), process validations, and quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and company procedures.

Maintain calibration and proper use of metrology equipment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tri-Dimensional Metrology (TDM), dimensional inspection, or aerospace quality inspection.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Experience working in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or precision engineering environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Proficiency with metrology software and inspection reporting tools is preferred.
