Mission
- Design, structure and standardize robot programs for Fanuc (TP/Karel) and KUKA (KRL) platforms.
- Develop and maintain reusable macros, templates, libraries, naming conventions and programming standards aligned with OEM guidelines.
- Program, test and commission robots for BIW automation, including spot/MIG-MAG welding, material handling and sealing.
- Develop and troubleshoot robot programs, I/O handling, PLC interfaces and fieldbus communication (EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus).
- Support FAT/SAT, robot calibration, TCP setup, cell integration and commissioning at OEM production sites.
- Troubleshoot robot, tooling and network issues during commissioning and production ramp-up.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain version/change management and provide technical documentation, training and mentoring.
- Collaborate with PLC programmers and Global Quotation teams on cell scope, LOE estimates and RFQs.
- Evaluate new Fanuc/KUKA features and support innovation and proof-of-concept projects.
Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on industrial robot programming experience.
- Strong expertise with both Fanuc TP and KUKA KRL; Fanuc Karel is an advantage.
- Proven experience in robot program architecture, standardization, reusable macros and templates.
- Experience with PLC integration, I/O mapping, fieldbus systems and robot cell commissioning.
- Experience with FAT/SAT, calibration and TCP setup.
- Project experience in automotive/BIW and/or aerospace.
- Knowledge of ROBOGUIDE, KUKA.Sim or Process Simulate is desirable.
- Familiarity with robot-cell safety systems and Git/SVN is an advantage.
- OEM certifications (Fanuc/KUKA) and knowledge of OEM standards are a plus.
- Fluent communication in English & German (Minimum B2). French language is preferred.
