Mission

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Brand Design Creative Manager to lead an internal creative team and act as the central guardian of the company’s visual identity.

The successful candidate will report to the Brand, Marketing & Customer Experience Director and work closely with the Vehicle Design Division, senior design leadership, marketing teams and external creative agencies.

This position requires an experienced creative leader who can balance brand, marketing, commercial and vehicle design priorities while ensuring that every creative output is technically excellent, visually consistent and aligned with the organisation’s overall brand and product vision.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage and develop an internal creative team comprising graphic designers, a motion graphics specialist and CGI visualisers.

  • Allocate creative assignments and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality visual, motion and CGI content.

  • Provide creative direction, technical guidance, coaching and performance feedback to team members.

  • Build an effective and collaborative creative environment that supports innovation, consistency and quality.

Brand Design System Ownership

  • Develop, maintain and govern the organisation’s brand design system.

  • Ensure that the brand design system provides a strong foundation for all brand guidelines, visual identity standards and creative applications.

  • Establish clear design principles, templates, toolkits and governance procedures.

  • Ensure consistent application of the brand identity across all internal and external touchpoints.

Brand Governance and Creative Approval

  • Act as the focal point for reviewing and approving creative materials.

  • Ensure that all creative outputs comply with brand guidelines, technical standards and the required look and feel.

  • Review social media content, campaign materials, merchandise, corporate branding, events, digital platforms and other brand applications.

  • Identify inconsistencies and provide clear direction for correction and improvement.

  • Maintain a consistently high standard of creative execution across the organisation.

Marketing and Vehicle Design Alignment

  • Act as the principal bridge between the Marketing function and the Vehicle Design Division.

  • Balance and reconcile the creative, technical, product and commercial priorities of both teams.

  • Ensure that brand and marketing communications remain aligned with the product design philosophy and vehicle positioning.

  • Translate brand and marketing requirements into clear and relevant creative direction for vehicle design stakeholders.

  • Communicate vehicle design considerations and product positioning requirements to the marketing team.

  • Support the development of a unified visual language across the brand, vehicle portfolio and customer experience.

CGI and Technical Creative Direction

  • Provide technical and creative direction for CGI visualisation and production.

  • Work directly with internal CGI visualisers, the Vehicle Design Division and external creative or production agencies.

  • Review CGI quality, lighting, materials, environments, rendering, composition and technical feasibility.

  • Participate confidently in technical discussions relating to CGI production workflows.

  • Ensure that CGI outputs accurately reflect the product design, brand positioning and intended customer experience.

  • Manage and direct work produced through tools such as Unreal Engine and Autodesk VRED.

Digital Asset Management

  • Support the development, implementation and governance of a Digital Asset Management system.

  • Establish processes for the naming, classification, approval, storage, version control and distribution of brand assets.

  • Ensure that approved brand materials are organised, accessible and consistently used across the organisation.

  • Maintain appropriate controls over confidential, pre-launch and product-related visual assets.

Agency and Stakeholder Management

  • Brief and manage external creative, design, CGI and production agencies.

  • Evaluate agency proposals, creative concepts, production approaches and technical recommendations.

  • Ensure that external partners comply with the organisation’s brand, quality and technical requirements.

  • Present creative recommendations and explain the rationale behind design decisions to senior stakeholders.

  • Manage feedback from multiple functions and convert it into clear, actionable creative direction.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Significant professional experience in brand design, creative direction or visual identity management within an automotive original equipment manufacturer.

  • Demonstrated understanding of automotive product launches, vehicle positioning, product storytelling and launch communication cycles.

  • Proven experience leading and developing an internal multidisciplinary creative team.

  • Strong experience managing the relationship between vehicle design, brand, marketing and commercial stakeholders.

  • Experience developing, implementing and governing brand design systems and visual identity guidelines.

  • Experience reviewing and approving creative work across multiple platforms and categories.

  • Experience managing external creative, production and CGI agencies.

  • Experience implementing or governing a Digital Asset Management system.

Technical and Creative Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and other core professional design software.

  • Strong technical understanding of automotive CGI production and visualisation workflows.

  • Practical knowledge of Unreal Engine and Autodesk VRED.

  • Ability to review and discuss CGI production requirements on an equal technical level with CGI artists, agencies and vehicle design teams.

  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, layout, composition, colour, motion graphics and digital production.

  • Ability to assess both the creative quality and technical feasibility of visual outputs.

Leadership and Communication Skills

  • Strong creative leadership and people-management capabilities.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across design, marketing and commercial functions.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to explain creative and brand decisions clearly and objectively.

  • Strong judgement when balancing design integrity, brand consistency, commercial priorities and delivery requirements.

  • Ability to manage multiple creative projects in a fast-paced, confidential and deadline-driven environment.

Profile

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Automotive Design, Digital Media, Creative Direction or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience supporting the launch of new vehicles, automotive brands or major vehicle programmes.

  • Experience working with pre-launch and confidential automotive product assets.

  • Arabic language capability is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Previous professional experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East would be advantageous.
