For an urgent premium automotive project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, we are seeking experienced Automotive Paint Senior Technicians to support the preparation and finishing of early-production and prototype vehicles to an exceptional show car quality standard.
This is a highly hands-on assignment requiring strong technical expertise in premium automotive refinishing, surface preparation, paint defect rectification, and colour matching.
Job Description
The Automotive Paint Senior Technician will be responsible for improving vehicle exterior surface quality and delivering paint finishes to premium show car standards.
You will work on aluminium body panels and exterior plastic components, supporting the preparation, refinishing, defect correction, and final visual quality of prototype and early-production vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plastic and aluminium automotive panels for premium-quality finishing
- Perform filling and correction of surface imperfections
- Carry out grinding, sanding, and detailed surface preparation
- Assess and improve panel surface quality prior to painting
- Perform automotive painting and refinishing to premium show car standards
- Ensure excellent visual appearance and surface consistency
- Conduct accurate colour matching between:
- Exterior plastic components
- Painted trim parts
- Aluminium body panels
- Complete vehicle body surfaces
- Identify paint defects, blemishes, scratches, imperfections, and finish inconsistencies
- Perform paint defect rectification and local refinishing where required
- Carry out polishing, correction, and final paint finesse activities
- Support final visual inspection and quality acceptance of completed vehicles
- Work efficiently within aggressive project timelines
- Take initiative and resolve technical finishing issues independently
- Cooperate closely with senior technicians, prototype teams, and vehicle assembly specialists
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and tool care
Profile
Qualifications
- Proven professional experience as an Automotive Paint Technician, Senior Painter, Automotive Refinisher, Bodyshop Paint Technician, or similar position
- Strong hands-on experience with premium, luxury, prototype, motorsport, restoration, or show-quality vehicles
- Demonstrated experience in automotive surface preparation and refinishing
- Strong knowledge of:
- Plastic panel preparation
- Aluminium panel preparation
- Filling
- Grinding
- Sanding
- Surface correction
- Paint application
- Paint defect rectification
- Colour matching
- Ability to achieve an exceptionally high visual finish
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minor cosmetic imperfections
- Experience working in premium automotive workshops, OEM facilities, specialist bodyshops, vehicle customization centres, or high-end car service centres is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines
- Good teamwork and communication skills
Additional Information
- Position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- Candidates already based in Saudi Arabia are strongly preferred
- Candidates able to mobilize rapidly may also be considered
- Valid authorization to work in Saudi Arabia is required for project deployment
- Availability for urgent mobilization is essential
- Flexibility to work night shifts when required
- Standard project schedule approximately 45 hours per week
- Peak project periods may require up to approximately 60 hours per week
- Short-term assignment with potential extension depending on project requirements
