Travel Requirement: Travel to KSA once every 6 months for approximately 2 weeks

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead HMI Engineer to drive the end-to-end development of advanced automotive digital user interfaces.
The role requires strong expertise in HMI product development, UX strategy, wireframing, visual design, system architecture, and Agile product ownership. The selected candidate will lead global engineering teams, manage customer-facing programs, and ensure the delivery of premium digital cockpit and connected vehicle experiences.
This is a long-term assignment with remote or hybrid working arrangements and periodic travel to KSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of advanced user interfaces for automotive infotainment systems, instrument clusters, head-up displays, and connected mobile applications.
- Own end-to-end HMI product development from concept definition to production delivery.
- Define UX strategy, user journeys, interaction flows, wireframes, and visual design requirements.
- Lead system architecture discussions related to HMI, digital cockpit, infotainment, cluster, HUD, and connected applications.
- Act as Agile Product Owner or Feature Owner for assigned HMI domains.
- Manage product backlog, sprint priorities, feature refinement, delivery planning, and release coordination.
- Lead and coordinate global engineering teams across software, systems, UX/UI, validation, and product teams.
- Manage customer-facing programs, including technical reviews, design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and delivery follow-up.
- Translate customer and business requirements into clear HMI specifications and product features.
- Ensure the delivered HMI experience meets premium automotive quality, usability, performance, and brand expectations.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and delivery issues, and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Support continuous improvement of HMI development processes, methods, tools, and delivery standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in automotive HMI, digital cockpit, infotainment, instrument cluster, HUD, or connected vehicle applications.
- Proven track record in leading end-to-end HMI product development.
- Experience leading global engineering teams and managing customer-facing automotive programs.
- Strong knowledge of UX strategy, wireframing, visual design, requirements management, system architecture, and product ownership.
- Experience in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and distributed engineering environment.
Preferred Profile
- Previous experience with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or electric vehicle programs.
- Experience managing premium automotive digital interface programs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Jira, Confluence, or similar UX/product management tools.
- Indian candidates are preferred, but all nationalities may be considered.
- Availability for long-term assignment and periodic travel to KSA.
