Mission
- As a Rail Test Engineer Junior, you will support testing and troubleshooting activities on modern trainsets during the Internal Reliability Growth (IRG) and Trial Operation Test (TOT) phases, conducted prior to train acceptance.
- You will work closely with senior engineers and be involved in hands-on activities such as functional, endurance, degraded mode, and burn-in testing.
- These tests simulate real operating conditions to validate system performance, reliability, and robustness.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting test execution on train systems and subsystems
- Assisting in troubleshooting and basic failure investigations
- Recording and reporting test results, issues, and deviations
- Following test procedures and technical instructions using basic measurement tools (e.g. multimeter)
- Ensuring compliance with safety (EHS) and operational rules
- Collaborating with international teams and supporting continuous improvement activities
- The role is mainly based in Făurei, Brăila, Romania, with occasional travel to other European countries for training or project support.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Transport Engineering, Railway Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field)
- Interest in the railway industry or complex technical systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical or electromechanical systems
- Ability to understand technical documentation (electrical schematics are a plus)
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools (e.g. multimeter – advantage)
- Basic understanding of network concepts (IP, LAN – nice to have)
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to follow structured procedures and work in a team
- English – advanced level
- Willingness to work in Făurei and travel occasionally abroad
