Lead Battery Durability Engineer

Job Description

Lead the design the on-board strategies for monitoring battery ageing and command designers
Lead the development and simulation of the models of ageing of the batteries
Lead design and ensure the validation plans for these requirements and identify/check the suppliers’ plans
Understand the chemical mechanisms of degradation for the different types of chemistry
Identify the influential parameters and their sensitivity laws on battery aging
Request and monitor competitive analysis studies on battery durability

Qualifications

University Degree (Master of Science) Engineering e.g. mechanical
Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering design, development and/or testing
Experience with MS Office Tools
Excellent English knowledge
Minimum experience of the durability/reliability field
Know battery technologies
Know system engineering standards
Know vehicle development processes
Functioning principles of engineering propulsion systems
Hardware and Functional Design System Engineering, Calibration & Validation processes and teams (internal & external customers/suppliers)
