Driveline Hydraulic Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Driveline Hydraulic Engineer to join our team and support an important customer. The activity includes:

Design hydraulic systems and components for Driveline applications:
design models and perform performances evaluation on virtual environment (Amesim)
design or support codesign of hydraulic components
design product cards to engage suppliers for systems and components
define and follow up Design Validation Plan on components and systems
support Integration test activities for systems and components on final driveline
Create models and drawings on Pro-E for hydraulic/mechanical parts and component assemblies:
responsible to deliver 3D models and drawings
follow process for drawing releases, ECO/ECR release
able to set and follow design reviews
Support new programs for new or improved Hydraulic systems in Driveline perimeter:
be accountable for CPM (Current Product Management) maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical components under DL EH responsibility, as well as to support Design Reviews
responsible to validate Mech./Hydraulic concept layout by FMEA and simulation
accountable to investigate new hydraulic component technologies, as well as Electro/Hydraulic state of the art solutions. Interface with DL Electronic team for integrated mechatronic solutions and El.Hydraulic controls
develops plans to achieve cost and reliability targets of assigned components and systems
develops common processes & procedures and promotes usage across vehicle platforms

Qualifications

Desired qualifications:

Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience. Mandatory participation to University Fluid Power course
Further Training or Hyd master are a plus
Experience on CAD system (Pro-e/Creo preferred)
Knowledge of Matlab Simulink
Knowledge on hydraulic systems and components
Experience on integration issues for hydraulic sensors/actuators with electronic control units
Basics on Model Based Design
Knowledge of English and Italian Language
