System Integration and Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a System Integration and Test Engineer to join our team and support a major client. Technical education in the field of electric/electronic/automation engineering required (or documented equivalent experience). The activity includes:

You will be part of a professional team whereby your cooperation with our System engineers and developers will contribute significantly to the success of the projects;
With your analytical skills, creativity, and competence you will contribute to the ideal of a perfectly functioning overall solution;
Integration of individual software modules and devices into the overall system;
Preparing your test system, in coordination with the software developers involved in the project developers, for comprehensive release tests;
Development of test concepts/specifications, test automation, planning of test facilities and execution of extensive system tests of our software;
Development of Testbenches including electrical wiring and basic mechanical design;
Error analysis and commissioning with the customer, as remote diagnosis and on site;
Customer training for maintenance and commissioning.

Qualifications

Engineering Master Degree, preferably Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Automation;
You can think on development and system level to integrate distributed embedded systems with IP communication;
You have experience with Electronics, Electrical wiring and cables;
Ideally, you have already realized software tests on embedded systems and have experience around test automation;
Knowledge of Linux, networking (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, routing), scripting (Python, Shell), and Troubleshooting is important;
Knowledge of IT security, cryptography, virtualization. (Docker/Vagrant/VirtualBox) is an advantage;
English spoken and written at C1 level are required (e.g. for direct customer contact and the creation of technical documents). Knowledge of German is an advantage.
