Scada Engineer
Job Description
Join us in this role where you’ll work with a team of engineers to advance the work with implementation and commissioning of wind farm automation and communication systems, and where your on-site experience is key to ensure that the complete automation delivery aligns with specifications, quality and are commissioned on time. You’ll be part of a SCADA project team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure commissioning of the systems in scope. The ideal candidate has a technical understanding of the scope, works proactively, adapts to external factors and internal guidance, understand the importance of representing back-office engineers on site and step in to support where needed.
You’ll play an important role in:
• Establish SCADA site presence, and act as first person site contact for technical support
• Act as interface between SCADA design team and the Commissioning team
• Participating in FAT/SAT/SIT tests and sign of as test completes
• Performing quality inspections and report to SCADA design team
Qualifications
Proven site-based installation/commissioning experience within the energy/utilities sector
Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
Knowledge of Radio Communication
Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Best practices regarding fiber optic and copper cables pulling and installation´s.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to effectively communicate with representatives on technical matters.
Able to read and understand technical documentation.
Supervise in the physical deployment, providing feedback to local project teams.
