Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and support an important customer operating in the Automotive field. The resource will join the Software team to support the Motorsport BSP development, reporting directly to the Software Manager carrying out the following activities:

Perform BSP Requirements Identification, Analysis, Discussion and Engineering
Design and develop Firmware / Software for several onboard applications as well as helping to define future evolution of software architectures/protocols and related lifecycle design
Analyse and evaluate results proposing actions to improve the solutions or corrective actions in case of unconformity
Provide complete and accurate reports about advancing state and main problems
Evolve unit test and methodologies

Qualifications

Technical degree in one of the following disciplines: Electronic/Computer Engineering
C programming language in an embedded environment
Experience of developing software targeted at microprocessors and microcontrollers
Knowledge of Linux, Linux-RT and RTOS Operating Systems
Experience in Switches & TCP/IP networking
Experience in Audio & Video treatment
Knowledge of Web interfaces
Knowledge of communication interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, PCI, SPI, UART, USB
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, and Italian
Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Other skills that we would welcome:

Experience in FW and SW developments (at least 3 years of experience)
Knowledge of laboratory hardware/software instruments (oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.)
Knowledge of Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) toolchain, Azure DevOps, SVN, Git
Availability for occasional business trips

Residence (or willingness to relocate) in the site area located in the West Milan area is required
