Manufacturing R&D Engineer

Job Description

Duties for this role include:

Ensure timely delivery of relevant technologies and associated projects within project scope.
Develop implementation and activity plans to meet project scope and timelines effectively.
Create business cases to demonstrate the viability of projects.
Contribute to resolving key technical and strategic challenges.
Develop early-stage demonstrations before final Proof-of-Concept.
Research and develop technologies and features for future applications.
Assist in developing Proof-of-Concept technologies with supplier support.
Provide technical support during project handover to mainstream engineering.
File patent applications to protect innovative ideas.

Qualifications

Relevant degree or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge of development processes, equipment, and joining technologies in BIW.
Strong technical expertise and experience in Body in White technologies.
Ability to resolve technical issues within a team.
Strong report-writing and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Interest in improving production equipment, applications, and introducing new technologies.
