Geometry Pilot / Metrologist

Job Description

Cross check for the the conformity of incoming parts (powertrain parts and systems) against technical specifications and tolerances
Reduce the influence of the assembly process on the assembly parts geometry
Lead and coordinate fine-tuning actions on fine tunning of the and measurement tools
Implement the product and process monitoring plan
Receive the measurement supports / checking fixtures ensuring their conformity, repeatability, and suitability for use
Validate the integration of measurement programs, including the correct positioning of measurement points and proper orientation of measuring devices.

Qualifications

Technical studies – mechanical, mechatronics, physics, metrology, or related fields
Previous experience in a similar position, preferably within the automotive industry or in the field of industrial testing and measurement
Specialized training courses in metrology and measurement uncertainty evaluation (advantage: certifications in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025)
Practical experience in calibration and/or measurement activities
Good computer skills – proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Excel, and internal traceability databases
Strong organizational and planning skills in managing current activities and calibration schedules
Ability to easily adapt to teamwork, especially during the development of new projects or metrology systems.
