Aufgabe

Role Overview This position focuses on leading assembly line balancing, process optimization, and launch support for new product introductions within a vehicle manufacturing environment. The candidate will drive standardized work, eliminate throughput bottlenecks using pre-determined time standards (MTM, MOST, MODAPTS) and 3D CAD tools, and collaborate across cross-functional engineering and operations teams to achieve launch targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop standardized work and balance operator workloads to align with takt time for new product introductions using pre-determined time standards (MTM, MOST, MODAPTS).

  • Determine build sequences by evaluating product models using 3D CAD.

  • Lead line balance workshops with cross-functional teams including operations, product engineering, safety, quality, and workstation designers.

  • Refine line balancing by accounting for assembly sequences, ergonomic guidelines, and facility constraints.

  • Direct throughput and bottleneck analyses to identify performance improvements and remove production constraints.

  • Guide Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams on implementing design and process enhancements.

  • Validate PFMEA and technical process documentation for compliance and launch readiness.

  • Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives and lean manufacturing events.

  • Monitor and report core launch metrics, including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and overall throughput.

  • Provide hands-on support for pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases.

Profil

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related technical discipline) or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience: 1 year of experience in vehicle assembly manufacturing supporting vehicle launches, retooling, or model changeover programs.

  • Technical Tools: Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for line layouts and analytical modeling; familiarity with Teamcenter JT2Go.

  • Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of PFMEA, lean manufacturing, line balancing, standardized work, and ergonomic design principles.

  • Core Competencies: Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Tecnomatix Process Simulate, Power BI, or similar digital manufacturing and analytics platforms.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher).

  • Deep understanding of assembly line throughput dynamics and bottleneck resolution strategies.
