Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of optimal internal logistics networks for New Product Introductions (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Logistics Strategy & Execution: Lead optimal internal logistics development for NPI and continuous improvement (covering Tier 1 Module delivery, sequence commodities, kitting, bulk/small lot strategies), and issue weekly Plan for Every Part (PFEP) releases.
Front-End Engineering & Cost Analysis: Perform long-lead engineering for logistics processes (estimating automation, surface area, docks, equipment) and support program teams with cost-justification studies.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Presentations: Present station readiness plans and logistics/station designs to steering committees, customers, and core launch teams (product, engineering, IE, operations).
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Lead simulation and bottleneck analysis, provide direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams, and drive Kaizen workshops and lean initiatives.
Launch Metrics & Build Support: Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and pre-production validation while tracking launch metrics (cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, throughput performance).
Profil
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) OR relevant work experience in logistics engineering for high-volume manufacturing.
Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly environment.
Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for line layouts and data analysis.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with warehousing and material delivery strategies, including automation and AMRs.
Key Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
