About the Role

SEGULA Technologies Middle East is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – 400kV Substation / OHL / UGC / Grid Interface for major renewable energy projects in Duqm, Oman.

The engineer will supervise high-voltage grid interconnection works including substations, overhead transmission lines, underground cables and commissioning interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction of 400kV substations and grid-interconnection infrastructure.
  • Supervise HV/MV electrical installation works.
  • Monitor overhead transmission line (OHL) construction.
  • Supervise underground cable (UGC) installation and testing.
  • Monitor electrical installation quality and compliance with approved specifications and drawings.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate interfaces with the Oman electricity transmission network and relevant stakeholders.
  • Review technical submissions, method statements and inspection documentation.
  • Identify construction/interface issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Participate in inspections, testing and handover activities.

Profil

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with HV/MV substations.
  • Proven experience with 400kV systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with OHL and underground HV cable systems.
  • Experience in grid-connection projects.
  • Strong construction-supervision and commissioning experience.
  • Oman/OETC interface experience is highly advantageous.
