Aufgabe
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR), HTSUS, ECCN, EAR, ITAR, country of origin requirements, and free trade agreements.
- Perform accurate tariff (HTS) and ECCN classifications for aviation aftermarket parts.
- Act as the primary liaison with customs brokers and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely customs clearance.
- Utilize SQL, Skywise (Palantir), and Power BI to analyze supply chain data and identify compliance risks, cost-saving opportunities, and duty drawbacks.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor compliance KPIs, customs entry accuracy, and operational performance.
- Develop workflow automations using VBA and other scripting tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Conduct internal compliance audits to identify discrepancies and prevent regulatory penalties.
- Collaborate with logistics, engineering, and cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity across systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic trade compliance projects.
- Maintain a strong commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance.

As a Compliance Solutions Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring U.S. import and export compliance while leveraging data analytics and automation to improve trade compliance processes. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in U.S. import compliance, import operations, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of:
- U.S. Customs Regulations (19 CFR)
- HTSUS classification
- ECCN
- EAR
- ITAR
- Country of Origin regulations
- Free Trade Agreements
- Experience using Microsoft Power BI for reporting, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify data anomalies and compliance risks.
- Ability to interpret aircraft engineering drawings and maintenance documentation for trade classification purposes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of tariff classification experience.
- Experience with Skywise (Palantir), SAP GTS, or similar global trade software.
- Knowledge of C-TPAT, ISA, or other voluntary trade compliance programs.

Professional certifications such as:
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- Master Customs Specialist (MCS)
- U.S. Customs Broker License
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work on-site in Herndon, VA.
