Aufgabe
We are looking for a motivated Junior Chassis Frames Design Release Engineer (DRE) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work on Body-on-Frame (BOF) chassis frame components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support component design, development, and release processes.
Key Responsibilities
Component Release & Data Management: Support the formal engineering release process for Body-on-Frame (BOF) chassis frame components using internal PLM/CAD systems.
Design & Packaging Support: Review 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for chassis frame structures to ensure packaging feasibility, proper clearances, and alignment with vehicle interface requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface daily with internal engineering leads, client managers, and external partners (including Stellantis team members) to track delivery timelines and requirements.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: Assist in logging, tracking, and resolving technical design issues or build discrepancies during prototype and production phases.
Documentation & Change Control: Prepare and maintain engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs), technical specifications, and bill of materials (BOM) updates.
Supplier & Testing Interface: Help coordinate component testing requirements, validation activities, and design reviews alongside suppliers and functional teams.
Profil
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience Level: 0–3 years of engineering experience.
Technical Focus: Foundational knowledge of chassis components, structural design, or vehicle frame architectures.
Software/Tools: Familiarity with automotive CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX) and PLM software is a strong plus.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting updates and coordinating across fully remote teams.
