Aufgabe
As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing tools, jigs, fixtures, and poka-yokes for welding, assembly, and other manufacturing areas. You will coordinate material purchasing, component manufacturing, and device validation to ensure all products meet technical specifications, tolerances, and ergonomic standards for the final user.
Responsibilities
- CAD Design: Develop CAD designs for tools, jigs, and fixtures according to project requirements and timelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Team up with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams to review tool designs, construct prototypes, and validate repeatability and geometry.
- Material & Supply Management: Order and track the supply of tooling materials and equipment to ensure timely implementation, and organize/validate trial runs.
- Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation adhering to industry standards, with a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Maintenance & Adaptation: Develop tooling maintenance schedules following TPM guidelines and perform process adaptations to streamline assembly lines.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Provide technical consulting to internal production, purchasing, and warehouse teams, as well as coordinate with external suppliers for materials and equipment testing.
Profil
Qualifications
- Ideal: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ideal: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Ideal: 5+ years of experience in Tooling Design within the automotive or metal-mechanic industry.
- 4 years of experience in Tooling Design within the automotive or metal-mechanic industry.
