Company Description
A leading automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a Saudi National Equipment Engineer to support equipment reliability, automation, and continuous improvement activities within an automotive stamping environment.
The role will work closely with Maintenance and Process Engineering teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support production efficiency.
Job Description
The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and improving automotive stamping equipment, with a strong focus on automation, controls, reliability, and lean manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, troubleshoot, and optimize stamping equipment using Siemens PLC systems, including Step7 and TIA Portal.
- Set up new references on production lines.
- Work with WinCC HMI/SCADA systems for monitoring, diagnostics, and interface improvements.
- Lead equipment improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, reliability, and process stability.
- Analyze machine performance and implement lean strategies to improve equipment health and productivity.
- Collaborate with Maintenance teams to resolve complex electrical, electronic, automation, and control-related issues.
- Work closely with Process Engineering to align equipment capabilities with production requirements and quality targets.
- Troubleshoot and improve systems involving motors, VFDs, soft starters, sensors, and industrial control devices.
- Support equipment involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Participate in upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment integration.
- Support and troubleshoot industrial robots, preferably KUKA robots.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Saudi National.
- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, including Step7 and TIA Portal.
- Experience with WinCC HMI/SCADA systems.
- Strong background in electronics, electrical systems, and industrial controls.
- Knowledge of motors, VFDs, soft starters, sensors, and related industrial components.
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with automotive stamping processes, including presses, transfer systems, feeders, or similar equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control schematics.
- Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with KUKA robots, including operation, programming, or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, SMED, TPM, or similar methodologies.
- Experience leading equipment improvement, reliability, or optimization projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
