  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung
  • Bachelor, Abitur + 3 Jahre
  • DESIGN ENGINEER

Aufgabe

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of next-generation, handheld surgical tools that seamlessly interface with advanced robotic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex mechanisms, rotating systems, and high-precision mechanical design, reminiscent of high-performance power hand tools.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between robust mechanical functionality and sophisticated robotic interfaces, ensuring the highest standards of safety, ergonomics, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Focus: Mechanical Design & Innovation (approx. 70%)

  • Mechanism & System Design: Conceptualize, develop, and refine complex mechanical designs, rotating systems, and intricate mechanisms for handheld surgical devices.

  • Robotic Integration: Design robust mechanical interfaces that connect handheld instrumentation with robotic equipment.

  • Design for Excellence (DFX): Apply strict DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles to optimize product quality, yield, and cost.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with robotics and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless electro-mechanical integration.

Secondary Focus: CAD Modeling & Documentation (approx. 30%)

  • Advanced CAD Development: Create robust 3D models and high-quality, production-ready 2D drawings.

  • Data Management: Manage the full product lifecycle and CAD data integrity within a strict PLM environment.

Profil

Required Core Competencies:

  • CAD Expertise: High proficiency and fluency with PTC Creo Parametric.

  • PLM Data Management: Proven experience utilizing Windchill Workgroup Manager (WGM) for data management and revision control.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of DFM and DFA best practices.

Highly Valued (Beneficial) Experience:

  • Industry Background: Prior experience in the Medical Device/Equipment industry (familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA design controls is a major plus).

  • Manufacturing Processes: Hands-on design experience with injection molded plastics, billet machining, and additive manufacturing (3D printing).

  • Secondary CAD Software: Proficiency with SolidWorks is an asset.

  • Multidisciplinary Exposure: Familiarity with robotics, actuators, sensors, and electrical systems.

Candidate Profile

  • The Problem Solver: You excel at designing compact, ergonomic, and high-torque mechanisms similar to those found in power hand tools.

  • The Detail-Oriented Engineer: You appreciate the rigor required for medical-grade documentation and data management.

  • The Collaborator: You speak the language of electrical and robotics engineers, allowing you to design hardware that integrates flawlessly with software and circuitry.
