Position Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our growing automotive operations team. In this role, you will help transform raw data into actionable insights that drive efficiency across our manufacturing, supply chain, and quality control processes. You will support senior analysts and engineering teams by maintaining databases, generating daily performance reports, and building interactive dashboards. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, a passion for the automotive sector, and a desire to grow their skills in data visualization and database management.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Cleaning: Pull raw data from various automotive ERPs, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and telematics databases. Ensure data integrity by cleaning and organizing large datasets.
Reporting & Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain automated daily and weekly reports. Build interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production yield, defect rates, and supply chain lead times.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support engineering, quality, and logistics teams with ad-hoc data requests to help identify the root causes of production bottlenecks or quality issues.
Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to automate repetitive data-gathering tasks and streamline reporting workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and translate business questions into technical data queries.
Profil
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience in data analysis (including academic projects or relevant internships).
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
Foundational knowledge of SQL for database querying and manipulation.
Introductory experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Basic understanding of programming languages like Python or R for data analysis.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship or project experience within the automotive manufacturing, supply chain, or mobility sector.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949) or lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, 5S).
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
