Aufgabe
Vehicle Updates: Perform software and hardware updates for test vehicles.
Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose and perform root cause analysis for identified functional problems.
Data Logging & Measurement: Take measurements across various points of the electrical system and log critical vehicle data required for troubleshooting.
Engineering Collaboration: Support problem resolution by teaming up with local and global development engineers as needed.
Feedback & Innovation: Recommend technical solutions, provide feedback to development teams, and offer insights to improve the test truck build and root cause analysis processes.
Defect Tracking: Issue detailed problem reports for defects identified in the vehicle’s electrical and electronic systems.
Road Approval Testing: Perform critical test activities to support the road approval process for all test vehicles slated for public road use.
Knowledge Transfer: Participate in design implementation by supporting training and knowledge transfer activities.
Database Management: Maintain and update databases used in fault tracing.

Position Requirements & Specific Expertise
Commercial Vehicle Systems: Specialist knowledge of various commercial vehicle systems and functions.
CAN Communication: Expert knowledge of commercial vehicle CAN communication protocols and CAN analysis tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer).
Automotive EE Tools: Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with automotive electrical/electronics development and diagnostics tools.
Software Toolchain: Specialist knowledge and experience in vehicle controller software toolchains (e.g., Engineering Tool, Prosit).
Advanced Tech: Experience working with modern, latest-generation sensor technology.
Wiring Harnesses: Experience using wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools.
Troubleshooting: Expert-level commercial vehicle electrical/electronics (EE) troubleshooting.
Autonomy: A proven ability to work remotely, independently, and with minimal direction.
Hands-on Drive: Strong, practical, hands-on mechanical and electrical abilities are a must.
Qualifications & Additional Information
Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle system verification and/or EE system design.
Education: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) degree is highly desired.
Travel: Must be able to travel domestically within the US. International travel flexibility is preferred but not required.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
