Aufgabe

Role Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the delivery of Environmental & Social risk management, Sustainability, LEED, and GHG management system services across the Middle East region (with focus on UAE, Oman, and KSA). The role is primarily office-based in Abu Dhabi, with occasional travel to client sites. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare commercial and technical proposals under the direction of the line manager.

  • Write Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for projects in UAE and KSA, including specialist inputs (e.g., terrestrial ecology; soil and groundwater impact assessments).

  • Prepare Environmental Management Plans (e.g., CEMP, OEMP).

  • Support delivery of EIA, SIA, BAT, GHG and other Environmental / SRM reports, including project coordination and project management support.

  • Interpret baseline survey reports (terrestrial ecology / soil & groundwater) and technical modelling outputs for inclusion in EIA reports.

  • Conduct Health, Safety, Environmental Impact Assessments (HSEIA).

  • Prepare man-day estimates for proposals/tenders (EIA, SIA, GHG, BAT), attend client meetings to confirm scope, issue data request forms, and perform document reviews.

  • Conduct required site visits.

Profil

Qualifications 
  • Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Experience: 4–6 years (mid-level) or 8–12 years (senior).

  • Strong understanding of HSE risk engineering and management within Oil & Gas / Petrochemical (other sectors are a plus).

  • Excellent English (written and verbal) with strong technical report writing capability.

  • Additional Information / Preferred Skills 
    • Exposure to Environmental Chemistry, Marine Ecology, Biology, Biodiversity, etc.

    • Management systems knowledge: ISO 14001, ISO 14064, ISO 26000, GRI standards (or equivalent).

    • Modelling tools: SoundPlan (noise), AERMOD (air dispersion); hydrodynamic modelling and OilMap / MIKE-2 are advantages.

    • Working knowledge of ADNOC and/or ARAMCO, QE, PDO, KOC standards and relevant international standards.

    • Consultancy experience is an advantage.
