Aircraft Structures Technician - Must Relocate to North Charleston

Job Description

Perform complex structural assembly on aircraft, including mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and system installations.
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and non-complex electrical systems.
Modify and repair aircraft structures using specialized tools and techniques (e.g., match drilling, riveting, fastener installation).
Operate precision tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and sheet metal brakes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, process specs, and technical orders.
Work with high-hazard chemicals and comply with safety regulations.

Qualifications

7-10 years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience.
5+ years in an MRO, Repair Station, AOG, or Travel MODS environment.
5+ years of experience in aircraft assembly/disassembly.
2+ years of composites experience (preferred).
2+ years of Velocity and Radar experience (preferred).
Strong ability to identify and use common aircraft tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Work Schedule: Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Must be able to lift/carry 10-35 pounds.
Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
Work with high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
Exposure to high noise levels, chemicals, and confined spaces.
