Engine Calibration Engineer

Job Description

Development and industrialization of Powertrain Control Software & Calibration for both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Hybrid (HYB) vehicles, ensuring compliance with clients standards and alignment with project milestones, cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Execute calibration and tuning activities, including validation through test reports (FE), synthesis reports, and dataset maturity reviews.
Analyze and document proposed and reserved technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project line-ups, technical specifications, regulatory constraints, and performance objectives across different specifications.
Guarantee customer-oriented performance targets by executing software tuning to meet requirements for reliability, durability, emissions, OBD compliance, fuel efficiency, and drivability under various climatic and operational conditions.

Qualifications

Experience & Domain Expertise

Proven experience of at least 2 years in calibration engineering
University degree in a field related to automotive engineering

Technical Proficiency

Calibration Tools: Expertise in INCA, Matlab, and CRETA.
Programming: Proficiency in relevant programming languages for calibration and modeling.
Electrical & Electronics Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical/electronic systems related to powertrain (engine) components.

Regulatory and Methodological Knowledge

In-depth understanding of calibration methodologies, validation processes, and industry standards for emissions compliance.
Knowledge of GMP related to calibration and system validation.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for testing and calibration validation.
Effective communication skills to report progress and interact with cross-functional teams.
Ability to communicate and interpret technical documents in English.
