Battery Engineer – Value Optimization & Project Management
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead value optimization initiatives for battery systems and related electrical and electronic components, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality and performance.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and material optimization.
- Manage battery system projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to identify innovative solutions and maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee supplier interactions, including technical reviews, cost negotiations, and performance assessments.
- Develop and monitor project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely delivery of milestones.
- Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvement, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges and bottlenecks.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including reporting project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Support product launches and ensure seamless integration of battery systems into vehicle platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in battery system engineering or a related role in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components used in battery systems.
- Experience in value engineering, cost analysis, and optimization.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar software for battery and component design.
- Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations related to battery systems and electronics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English is required.
