Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Team Leader - Construction Supervisor Stations to oversee construction activities related to stations for a prestigious Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Team Leader will manage and coordinate station construction teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience managing large-scale station construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all station-related construction activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, specifications, and timelines.
  • Manage and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders involved in station construction.
  • Monitor construction progress and address challenges to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction quality, adherence to designs, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance to construction teams, resolving issues and ensuring smooth execution of station construction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to integrate station construction activities with overall project plans.
  • Ensure contractor performance meets contractual obligations and project standards.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, including updates on construction performance, risks, and proposed mitigation strategies.
  • Promote adherence to HSE standards and foster a safety-first culture on-site.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 12-15 years of experience in station construction supervision, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline projects.
    • Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of station construction processes, standards, and quality control practices.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic project environment.
