Lightweight designer (CATIA V5)

Job Description

As a Lightweight designer (CATIA V5) at Segula Technologies in Bratislava, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aero engineering by designing lightweight solutions for cabins. Working alongside a team of talented professionals, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in CATIA V5 2D&3D design to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions. From conceptualization to implementation, you will tackle challenging projects that demand precision, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Your contributions will directly impact the development of cutting-edge technologies that redefine industry standards and propel us toward a brighter, more sustainable future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CATIA V5 software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for components and systems within the aviation or automotive industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design requirements into functional solutions that meet technical specifications and project objectives.
  • Conduct design reviews, analyze performance metrics, and implement improvements to optimize product functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Generate technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to support manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering to drive continuous innovation and enhance our competitive edge.
  • Adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols throughout the design and development lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, with expertise in CATIA V5 2D&3D software.
  • Strong proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and quality assurance.
  • Prior experience in the aviation or automotive industry is preferred but not required.
  • Fluency in Slovak, English, or German languages is advantageous.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
