Key Responsibilities

Smart Room Operations

  • Offer process and technical support across wells, chemical management, production, processing, and monitoring activities.
  • Participate in process studies and recommend performance improvements or facility upgrades.
  • Generate weekly reports on gas flaring volumes and SO₂ emissions.
  • Investigate sources of flared gas and correlations with maintenance activities.
  • Support environmental exceedance analysis and implement corrective actions per the Environmental Monitoring Plan (PMA).
  • Summarize daily air quality and odor emission exceedances detected by the TEEPIT monitoring network.
  • Design and maintain PI Vision dashboards and visualization tools.
  • Develop monitoring tools in PI and PI-AF to analyze and optimize plant performance.
  • Support field-based activities including test runs, performance tests, and fiscal metering.
  • Contribute to GHG emissions monitoring and FOPS-related actions within the CFR roadmap.

Continuous Emissions Monitoring

  • Monitor parameters for six emission points using the Automatic Emissions Monitoring System (SME).
  • Report anomalies or exceedances of authorized thresholds.
  • Collect and archive daily emission data and reports.
  • Prepare daily summary and anomaly reports, coordinating with site teams for troubleshooting and corrective actions.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and submit summary reports (daily, weekly, monthly) as required.
  • Draft, protocol, and manage communications with Authorities per Regional Decree DGR 588/2021 (AIA), including notifications of installation upsets.

  • Assist the ENV department with monthly GHG flaring gas conversion calculations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in process engineering, ideally within oil & gas production facilities.
  • Technical Skills:
  1. Strong understanding of O&G processes, process safety management, and industry technologies.
  2. Proficient in heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and energy conversion principles.
  3. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
