NDT Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking two NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspectors to provide periodic support in the inspection of welded railway bogie frames.

The activities cover two separate testing methods:

Magnetic Testing Level 2 (MT2) according to ISO 9712
Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 (UT2) according to ISO 9712

Each of these tasks requires a dedicated certified inspector, as both testing methods are performed in parallel during production.

The support is requested on an as-needed basis, with a minimum duration of one week per assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform either:
- Magnetic particle testing (MT2) to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities, or
- Ultrasonic testing (UT2) to detect and evaluate internal weld defects.
Evaluate, interpret, and document results in compliance with EN 15085, ISO 17638, ISO 17640, and customer-specific standards.
Ensure the accuracy and traceability of NDT records.
Support production and quality teams during defined inspection phases.
Work in close coordination with other inspectors and the welding quality team.

Qualifications

Valid certification in MT2 (Magnetic Testing Level 2 according to ISO 9712) or UT2 (Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 according to ISO 9712) – at least one is mandatory.
Railway qualification (EN 15085 environment) preferred but not strictly required.
Fluent Hungarian – mandatory; English and/or French – an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and high tolerance for repetitive inspection tasks.
Ability to work independently and adapt to varying project schedules.
