Aeronautical Quality Engineer
Job Description
Assist in the introduction of new NPI parts from their start-up phase to serial production, ensuring compliance with applicable specifications. Responsible for the implementation of all necessary documentation to guarantee adherence to industry standards, including AS9100, AS13100, and AS9145.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Quality engineer consist of but are not limited to:
Ensure the compliance of NPI parts with the AS9100 standard, focusing on risk management, configuration control, and traceability.
Lead the First Article Inspection (FAI) process and prepare approval packages in alignment with AS9102 for FAI approval.
Implement AS13100 quality standards, emphasizing risk management and critical part quality for aerospace applications.
Ensure the application of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) as per AS9145, coordinating tasks to achieve successful PPAP submissions.
Collaborate with the team to ensure process control and validation for compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, AS13100, AS9145).
Perform inspection, report data, and propose process/tooling adjustments for NPI parts to align with quality management systems in the aerospace sector.
Support customer meetings to ensure requirements are inwardly reported and aligned with APQP/PPAP practices.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T, with the ability to interpret documents and apply industry-specific standards, including AS9100, AS13100, and AS9145.
Proficiency in problem-solving, Lean Manufacturing techniques, and core tools.
Knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software and CMM programming is a plus.
Ability to communicate material and train employees effectively, adhering to APQP and PPAP standards.
Fluent in both English and French
