Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret route sheets, drawings, Shop Instruction Sheet (SIS), Weld
  • Procedure Specifications (WPS), weld and rod cards.
  • Plan and organize the RT/UT welding process.
  • Identify and verify work piece material.
  • Communicate with the team members and shop foreman.
  • Perform basic fitting to a pre-established layout.
  • Work in a safe manner, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.

Profilo

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of manual welding experience in heavy manufacturing, pressure vessel, or piping industries under North American standard codes (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, NOM-020-STPS.)

  • Proven ability to perform manual welding and repairs to RT/UT quality standards across multiple processes.

  • Intermediate blueprint reading skills.

  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in awkward positions.

  • Ability to pass respirator fit-testing if required.

Welding Test Requirements

  • Position Test: 6G position using 2 ¾" OD carbon steel pipe with 0.625" wall thickness.

  • Root Pass: GTAW process (visual inspection).

  • Fill and Cap: SMAW process (visual and RT inspection).

Work Schedules

  • Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Afternoon Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

  • Weekend Day Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Paid for 40 hours)

  • Weekend Afternoon Shift: Friday-Sunday, 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.
