Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive PMC HSE Supervisor to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) operations for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The HSE Supervisor will monitor site activities, ensure compliance with HSE policies, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the project. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience in HSE management within large-scale construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily HSE activities at construction sites to ensure compliance with project requirements, international standards, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure proper implementation of safety measures.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Provide HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors to foster awareness and compliance with HSE protocols.
• Ensure emergency response plans are in place and conduct regular drills to test their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve HSE issues and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident reports, inspection findings, and safety metrics.
• Report HSE performance and significant issues to the HSE Lead and project management team.
