Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMC Construction Supervisor to oversee construction activities for a prestigious Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Construction Supervisor will manage on-site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and international standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all construction activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily site operations, including workforce, materials, and equipment, to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to address and resolve construction-related issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, design specifications, and quality standards.
- Verify that construction drawings, specifications, and procedures are followed accurately.
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of construction activities, including progress updates, delays, and challenges encountered.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on construction progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Promote adherence to HSE policies and foster a culture of safety across the construction site.
- Mentor and guide site personnel to enhance technical skills and team performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in construction supervision, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline projects.
- Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and international standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities for effective team and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
