Technical Engineer Leader Exhaust Distress
Job Description
Mission:
- Ensure product/process development or industrialization according to department rules and specifications adapted to his scope, and suggest optimizations
- Ensure the robustness of the product / process design
- Technical support for designers, preparation engineers, industrial facilities contract managers, logisticians, quality analysts, etc. in carrying out their activities
- Guide or manage developers in achieving their deliverables
- Manage part of Digital simulation activities which are necessary to ensure project development within QCD and TEI constraints
- Coordinate group of P/P Designers through results analysis, roadblocks identification, and proposal for solutions to drive technical definition convergence to ensure Customer Performance
Managerial missions
- Align teams members’ actions with the company strategy
- Develop teams members performance and make them accountable through a close relationship and delegation rules
- Guide teams members in driving change
Deliverables:
- Suggesting technical solutions to the customer
- Validation of the specification of parts by team leader delegation
- Synthesis files on technical convergence and progress
- Quality update database for milestones
- Quality Documentation
- Quality and Planning of the industrialisation phase
- Components representative matrix for “Prototypes and Pre-series”
- Manage questions and problems with specific tools of the client
- For Digital simulation, exchange of results data between P/P Designers and Digital Designers
- Specificities
- Certification of quality database from the point of view of technical results until PSW product Engineering Leaders are released
- Synthesis files on Industrial Performance Convergence for the Process Engineering Leaders
- Systems Documents Applied to the Project
- Calculation reports and testing results linked to calculation recommendations at milestones
- Module or complete Digital simulation modeling
Indicators: KPI FTR/OTD/specifics zero non-conformity
Key cooperation:
- Designers, preparation engineers, industrial facilities contract managers, etc. working on his project to bring together the development
- Management or packaging engineers to send back the project arbitrations to them and warn in case of drift in QCDP
- Suppliers to answer technical questions and manage the convergence of studies
- Upstream & technical experts to ensure compliance with department rules and help improve them
- Prototypes to send back time arbitrations and prototypes team leaders for implementing the prototype.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: mechanical or electric engineer
- Know-how on Exhaust automotive systems: minimum 1 year experience
- Know-how in automotive and client processes is considered a plus
- Foreign language: English/ French is a plus
- Catia V6 or less is a plus
- Organized and oriented towards success
- Work sessions at Client's site ( 2 days by week).
