Responsibilities:

• Coordinate technical aspects of Product Development, working closely with Safety
• Engineers, Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Validation
• Engineers – all in a global environment.
• Develop System Architectures for Wayside products and deliver tangible results to the
• business.
• Provide leadership within the Systems Engineering profession to develop quality
• Requirement Specifications, Architecture Documents and Design Documents in a timely
• fashion.
• Work closely with Marketing Leaders and Program Managers to ensure customer
• requirements are evaluated and flowed down appropriately through System Specifications and
• Architecture Documents.
• Participate in the tender phase of projects to ensure that only sound technical solutions are
• offered to customers.
• Assist and sometimes drive resolution of field issues and failure investigations, root causes
• analysis and corrective implementations.
• Perform all Engineering activities in accordance with established ISO/CMMI process
• framework, providing process improvement ideas where applicable.

Experience Required:

• 7+ years of experience in the area of embedded systems development for safety critical railway
• signalling applications - from concept development, to implementation, to successful commissioning
• Systems Engineering and Requirements management for rail projects
• Very good understanding of engineering processes and tools
• Very good working experience in an international environment
• Visionary thinking and able to implement strategy initiatives in his/her domain of expertise
• Understand interface and impact with other technical domains
• Rigor, autonomy and works well in a team working
• Proactive behaviour, sense of anticipation and urgency
• High degree of integrity and ability to make decisions required by the role’s responsibility.
• Previous experience in the railway industry is a highly desirable asset.

Salary Range:

• $120,000 (AUD)
